American Heart Association Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers Course
For professional rescuers who must have a credential (card) documenting successful completion of a CPR course. This group would include First Responders, EMT's, Paramedics, Respiratory Therapists, Physical and Occupational Therapists, Physicians assistants, Nurses, and Physicians. This course provides information on adult and pediatric CPR, including two-rescuer scenarios and use of the bag-valve mask. Also covers foreign-body airway obstruction (conscious and unconscious), automated external defibrillation, special resuscitation situations, and other cardiopulmonary emergencies.
Courses Available the 3rd Saturday of each month
- Course books and pre test are available for pick up prior to the course at Sunstar. Go to the 2nd floor reception area, which is to the right after you get off the elevators and ask for Doreen Schomp between the hours of 8-5 Monday-Friday phone: 727-582-2068
- All Course completion cards will be mailed the following week - after successful completion of the course.
- Course costs may be adjusted during the year as new 2010 curriculum is rolled out.
