special event pre-payment
Customer Notification: Notice requesting EMS presence for a non-exempt event must be submitted no later than thirty (30) days prior to the event date to allow payment processing time. Sunstar Paramedics can waive the 30-day window in situations in which it is deemed necessary.
Guarantor Notification: During the event scheduling process, the guarantor, apart from those specifically exempted in this document, will be notified of the requirement to pre-pay for these services and that they will be contacted by Sunstar Paramedics to collect payment.
Payment Processing: The preferred method of payment is by credit card via BILL2PAY. The guarantor will be notified that they will be charged for the “requested on scene time” (minimum of 3 hours) indicated on the S.O.R.T. Authorization Form. All Payments made by credit card will be charged a convenience fee of $2.50 for up to a $100 payment and an additional $2.50 for each $100 increment or portion thereof. This bank convenience fee will be applied to all credit card payments.

Guarantors will be allowed the option to pay via check payable to Sunstar EMS. Payments made by check must be made 10-day prior to the event to allow time for the check to clear. Sunstar Portal charges a flat fee of $2.95 for online check payments.
