Sunstar Paramedics running baby food drive for RCS Food Bank and Family Homeless Shelter

August 6, 2013

LARGO, Fla. (August 6, 2013) — Food banks across the Tampa Bay area have been struggling to keep their shelves full. In an effort to help address the shortage of desperately needed goods, Sunstar Paramedics has partnered with the RCS Food Bank and Family Homeless Shelter to collect items for a “community baby food drive.”

Items in-need include:

  • Baby food (stages 1, 2, 3)
  • Baby formula
  • Diapers
  • Baby wipes
  • Unused hotel toiletries
  • Travel size soap and shampoos

Donations can be dropped-off at Sunstar headquarters, at 12490 Ulmerton Road in Largo, Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. throughout the month of August.

“Giving back is a must here at Sunstar – our people want to do it, and we’re proud of that,” said Charlene Cobb, Community Outreach Coordinator. “With this baby food drive, we are encouraging Sunstar employees, family, friends, and the public, to help make a difference by donating items in need.”
