Professionalism is key to working as a team

Leticia Moorer and Benjamin White take professionalism very serious. They know that when seconds count it is critical to have clear concise communication and expend all their energy on their patient.
Recently this crew was put to the test when they responded to a young pregnant women in cardiac arrest. Despite being faced with high levels of stress and complicating factors. They worked seamlessly with the fire agency to provide uninterrupted care and had a positive outcome for both patients.

Their Supervisor nominated them for the Care Plus Award after receiving a letter of commendation from the fire department that stated,  “It is calls like this that test skills and provide opportunity to truly make a difference. I feel that everyone involved should be proud of their performance”.

Sunstar Paramedics is proud of the patient care that employees provide to Pinellas County. The Sunstar Care Plus Award is an internal award used to recognize Sunstar Paramedics employees for their excellence in patient care, professionalism and efficiency. Award winners are nominated by their co-workers and selected by Sunstar’s employee engagement and retention committee.
