Starting Oct. 1, texting while driving will be illegal in Florida

Certainly, texting while you’re driving makes no sense. How can you pay attention to the road when you’re staring at the phone screen?

As of Oct. 1, it isn’t just a bad idea – it’s also illegal. The state of Florida has prohibited the practice. The only exception is if you’re stopped at a red light or using a “talk-to-text” service like Apple’s Siri.
