Sunstar donates to CASA at annual Peace Breakfast

December 10, 2014

In honor of National Domestic Violence Awareness Month this past October, Sunstar Paramedics’ employees raised money for CASA, Community Action Stop Abuse.

Sunstar’s chief administrative officer Debbie Vass presented a check for $1,000 to Michelle Pliner, CASA community outreach coordinator, and Sheryl Zeitler, CASA volunteer services coordinator (pictured above), at the annual Peace Breakfast on December 9. Sunstar Paramedics made a corporate contribution to add to the funds raised by employees.

Since 1977, CASA has been working with the Pinellas County community to end domestic violence by offering shelter and services to victims, and creating advocacy programs to raise awareness. Sunstar has supported CASA since 2013. Read more about why Sunstar chose CASA.
