Sunstar Paramedics Innovative $35,000 Paramedic Retention Plan Celebration

October 19, 2020

In October of 2015 Sunstar Paramedics developed a first of its kind beta program
designed to retain paramedics. The “5 year/$35,000” bonus plan is one that has received national attention in the EMS
arena. Due to its success it has sparked several other EMS agencies throughout the country to adopt this program.

The retention bonus is cost savings to our organization, so it is a win-win for our company and the paramedic who
enrolls in the program. Since its inception we have been able to retain more of our paramedics for a longer period of
time due the incentive.

The effectiveness and popularity among our providers has shown us, that an end-of-contract bonus program is a great
way for our paramedics to save for big purchases.

The program has been so successful that we continue to offer the incentive and have modified it slightly to give them a
choice of a 3, 6 or 9 year bonus or the original 5/35.

To celebrate the completion of the initial program, we hosted a ceremony for the first group of 15 paramedics and their
families. We presented them with the checks and observe the success of this program.

The ceremony was held on October 21,2020 at 9:00 AM at Sunstar Paramedics, 12490 Ulmerton Rd. Largo, Fl. 33774.
